Download Manager Help
The download finished, but I can't find my files!
If you didn't change the default download folder, Download Manager downloads your files to your Music folder:
- On Windows XP, this would be in a folder inside of My Music named by the store. So, for example, after downloading files from Tom's Music, you would find those files in My Music\Toms Music. The full path would most likely be c:\Documents and Settings\yourUserName\MyDocuments\My Music\LiveTracks.com\Toms Music.
- On Windows Vista & Windows 7, the default folder is inside of the Music folder in your User folder. So, for example, after downloading files from Tom's Music, you would find those files in Music\Toms Music. The full path would most likely be c:\Users\yourUserName\Music\LiveTracks.com\Toms Music.
- On Mac OS X, the default folder is inside of the Music folder in your user home folder. So, for example, after downloading files from Tom's Music, you would find those files in Music\Toms Music. The full path would most likely be /Users/yourUserName/Music/LiveTracks.com/Toms Music.
The Download Manager tells my that my manifest is expired or corrupt, and that I should download it from the store again.
This can happen for a number of different reasons, like if the store you're downloading from doesn't keep your download links open for long, if you've previously downloaded these files, if your Internet connection is experiencing problems, or any other number of potential issues. Simply go back to the store where you purchased your content, and click through to begin the download again, from scratch. If your issue persists, contact Support.
Can I download my files more than once?
You can download your files up to three times on the same computer as the first time you attempted your download. After that, your order is closed, and you can no longer download those files.
How long do I have to download my files?
You have 30 days to download your files.
I deleted my downloaded files. Can I download them again?
At this time, we are unable to replace any files that you may have lost by deleting them or due to a system error.
The Download Manager never gets past checking for updates, or just looks like it's timing out when trying to do anything.
Make sure you've given Download Manager permission to go through your firewall and that your internet connection is active.
I can't use the Download Manager to download my files.
Ensure that you have the latest version of Java installed for your computer from
http://www.java.com/ . The Download Manager does not work on a Mac and using Google Chrome. Google Chrome users on a Mac will be using our Manual Download Process. At this time, April 2010, the current release of Google Chrome for Mac does not support Java. There is a Chrome update in the pipeline that enables Java support, but it is not currently released.
All of my downloads are failing!
There are a number of issues that could cause this:
- Make sure you have enough free hard drive space to download the files. You will usually need, on average, 40-80MB of space free for an average MP3 album.
- If you have plenty of free hard drive space, you may have selected a download folder that your computer protects from access. Choose a folder inside your User folder and try again.
- You may have already downloaded these files on another computer. If that's the case, then go to that other computer and retrieve your files.
- You may have already downloaded these files more than three times.
- Your download links may have expired. Login to your customer account and click "MY MUSIC" then click on the download button and attempt your download again.
- Your internet connection or firewall settings may be preventing you from downloading. Be sure to allow Download Manager through your firewall and try again.
If none of these issues seem to apply, contact
Support, and we'll help you troubleshoot your problem.
